How do I downgrade my version of Fire OS?

I have a Amazon Fire HD8 2020 and I am having trouble finding any tutorials on how to downgrade the OS. I am trying to downgrade from Fire OS 7.3.2.3 to 5.3.1 so I can root it and install Android. Does anyone have any ideas on how I would go about this?

Don't know how to do it but if anyone does they are probably on XDA developers website.

I found this article that mentioned Amazon did something to prevent rolling back from a update but double check XDA Forum like mentioned

No way to downgrade that model. Or root it. Also, there never was an OS 5 for that model either, so you're really barking up the wrong tree.

Only the few models, and there are very few, that can be bootloader unlocked can actually be downgraded, and even then, only to the oldest OS made for that device. But none of the newer ones can. The last one was the 2018 HD 8, but even that one requires opening the tablet up and shorting out some connectors.
