How do I download apps to Samsung S9+ running Pie?

I received the update to Android 9 last night but have not been able to download any new apps. And the updates to already installed apps won't download either.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you installing from the Play Store? Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?

Try going to Settings>Apps, select Google Play Store, tap Storage, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Do the same for Download Manager -- you probably have to tap Menu>Show System to see it. Now try again.

Although this works great, it seems to be a temporary fix. I have to do it everyday when downloading app updates. Is there a permanent fix?

I had same problem found out it was related to VPN
stop your vpn and try downloading

Something similar happened awhile ago. I removed my Google account and added it again. It worked for me.
