How do I download .pdf files from the web directly to my SD card

Hi everyone, i'm new to Android. I would like to know if its possible to download directly .pdf files to my SD card (I use a Galaxy Tab 3). I downloaded some books but I couldnt manage to move them from my internal memory to my SD card.

Can't use just put the SD into a computer/laptop and then move the PDF'S onto it. Then just put the SD into your tablet, was the way i was going to do it.

If the tab is rooted, you can just use a rooted file manager to move them (or copy them, then delete the original if the copy was successful).

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that you tried using the stock MyFiles file manager, or a 3rd party file manager like ES File Explorer, to copy or move the PDF files from Internal Storage to SD card, and it didn't let you? Is the tablet on KitKat or Jellybean?
