I dropped my phone and now my screen is broken its no longer usable in any way. How can I find my serial number? I looked on back of phone only has IMEI number.
Either think they're hacked or want to try hacking. Either way, serial # won't help. What do you need the serial number for?
You can only get the IMEI no serial numberIt's been mentioned here a few times that Samsung's Find My Mobile asks for the phone's serial number. I've never had to use it, so I can't confirm this. @mustang7757, do you know if that's the case? It would seem like an odd thing to ask, since I would guess the typical user would never think of writing down the S/N at any time, and many people toss the box right after getting the phone.
Not sure maybe trying find serial number for parts to fix the device but usually don't need that .Either think they're hacked or want to try hacking. Either way, serial # won't help.
If not then keep your box till you are done with it or ready to sell. Now come to think of it, doesn't Samsung put a label on the back of the phone with the serial number? Or was that only back in the day?
insurance then maybe. That sounds plausible. Not sure maybe trying find serial number for parts to fix the device but usually don't need that .

Just did it for kicks on an old galaxy tab e laying around. Didn't need the serial number. Once I turned it on it started the format process. Also showed last know location before I gave the wipe command. It's been mentioned here a few times that Samsung's Find My Mobile asks for the phone's serial number. Assuming that you're referring to a Samsung Galaxy A12, if you plug it into a Windows PC via USB cable, you can right click the device (once Windows detects and fully installs it), and you'll find the serial number under PropertiesI dropped my phone and now my screen is broken its no longer usable in any way.
