How do I fix a wifi authentication error on my Android 4.04?

WiFi authentication error on my Android 4.04

My Samsung Galaxy Trend phone was able to connect to my home WiFi all the time for a few years already), until today when I came back there were constant authentication errors when i tried to connect. Other devices in my house could connect to the WiFi without any problems, so it might be my phone that has the problem. My WiFi is an open network, does not require a password. However, when I tried to change the network config from DHCP to Static and then connected, it showed incorrect password, even though my WiFi clearly does not require a password to connect, then it showed the authentication error occurred message. I also tried using the Service Mode solution by turning off WiFi power save mode, but to no avail. I don't think I will be able to change my router settings as I do not know how to (my parents setup the router), also I don't think its the router's problem as other devices are able to connect without any problems. Please help me, I feel so crippled without WiFi !!!

Check proxy settings,DNS adress and port of your wifi settings
