How do I get the droid Andy green man on the droid x for things such as icons and phone contacts if I have no picture. Thanks

For contacts just save a photo and add it to the contact. For app a home app like launcherpro let's you pick what icon you want for a app. This will only show this icon on your home screen not your app drawer. If you want a permanent app icon replacement its a bunch of work and programs needed.

Place it on your phone.

Assign that contact's display image of that picture.
