Hi,
just recently found there is a cache on my tablet, and this cache contains thousands of thumbs I cannot erase properly. How can I do it please? This cache is located here:

I can delete, say, 50 thumbs or 100 at once, but, as soon as deleted they reappear!
How can I do it properly, please?
Thank you,

P.S. I refuse to get admin rights and use a terminal (such as Termux) because I am too old now for such Linux feats on my Android tablet.

There's not really a reason to delete them. That's a sign the app is working as intended since they are coming from the File Manager, that cache allows you to browse your image files faster as they have been cached. If you really want to get rid of them, disable the image viewer in the File Manager app and then clear the app cache.

Thank you Bla1ze,
good news just before I retire for my night's nap!
Just 3 things things I did that puzzle me:

*** 1***
I diconnected my USB stick (holding a lot of images I had browsed throug); but those USB images still had their thumbs in the cache!
*** 2 ***
When I "delete" thumsbs from the cache, the number of files in the cache in reases! I had about 4700 thumbs in the cache, about half an hour ago, did afew "deletions", and now are above 7500! And I did neither upload nor watch any images!
*** 3 ***
I have feeling - just a feeling IMO - that the more files I amass the slower reacts my tablet. Tat's why I'd like to get rid of superfluous files.

Good night, see you tomorrow,

Personally, I run SD Maid once or twice a week to keep my caches and such clear - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.darken.sdmse

As you suggested, I disabled the image viewer in Filemanager+, and could delete the 7000 or so files in the cache, only just a few remained :) Then I activated the image viewer again and shut down my Galaxy tablet.
This morning only about 100 files were in the cache when I looked. However, when I opened the cache again, the number of files had doubled; seems that each time I open the cache more files appear, just by openenig the folder!
Strange world of Galaxy!
