How do I get headphone icon off my phone

My headphone icon is stuck on my phone I can't hear when I get phone calls

Reboot the phone. Does it persist?

I assume you don't have headphones plugged in and that you're not connected to a Bluetooth headset. if not, and you still see the headphone indicator, then you may have a defective headphone jack.
