Android Central Question

So I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 Crown and today it updated from Android 8.0 to Android 9.0 and that went fine and it works fine.

But now it still keeps on asking me to "Install the New Software Update" which I've done now 4 times. How do I get it to stop asking me this? I already updated the Android. I don't need to do it anymore.

Try going to settings>apps>3 dots upper right corner tap>choose system apps now scroll and find system UI and system update , go in each and clear data, cache, force stop . Follow those 3 steps for each and should go away.

Welcome to Android Central! After each update, is the Build Number changing? You can find that in Settings>About Phone. If for any reason this phone was not being updated before, it may be that there are a bunch of updates that the phone has to catch up on. These might be additional security patches being installed sequentially.

I had to dig out my Username and Password because it's been a while since I've been here.

Thanks to both of you.

Anyways, that worked. :-) Thank you.

I'll be back though if the problem comes back.

I was wondering though.

If for example, a year from now there's a new Software Update that needs to be installed, I'll still be notified of that right?
