how do I get my Motorola droid to quit playing songs instead of ringing when someone calls me

My ringtone plays Van Halen Dance the night Away but on the callers end they hear rap and top 40 songs . How can I get it to just ring on the callers end?

You can't, because the caller is hearing what your carrier is sending back. Your phone doesn't control the "ringback tone". (Although that's strange - most carriers just use a ring or buzz.
