So where do you find the Samsung calendar and the S-Planner?

I have Samsung Apps on my Samsung 10.1 2014 tablet running 4.4.2 but I do not have this app on my phone running 4.4.2. So how come I don't have the same Samsung stuff on both devices?

Went to the Samsung apps link cannot find anything called Samsung calendar still have to go look for the S-Planner.

Deb,

The Samsung calendar is the stock calendar on your device.

Not sure if it's the same issue but it is similar!

I use the Google Calendar downloaded from Play Store. Since my Samsung Note 10.1 2014 Edition updated to KitKat 4.4.2, the Google Calendar no longer has the vertical elliptical in the top right corner for 'Settings' is no longer available. Only things visible are the TODAY icon and NEW EVENT icon.

We use multiple calendars to keep our 3 kids, my wifes, and my 2 calendars separate. All 7 are shared to each email acct so everyone can view each others. After the update, I can only see my 2 and one of my kids. The others are not available!! Now, I long in with the exact same email address on my Droid Razr M phone, Android version 4.4.2 and I can see all of the calendars!

What's different??

I actually figured it out on my own by accident awhile ago but never posted about it here. When making or editing an event, press on the calendar tab and select a calender with your email in it, such as Samsung calendar and will start sharing it with your other devices. For some reason the default, "My Calendar", doesn't post to the cloud.

I found this answer very useful as I had come to realise that events I created in S Planner were not syncing to my google calender. After reading Bigred's advice, I found that I could select my google calendar instead of "My Calendar" on a drop down within S Planner when creating a new event.

I then went one stage further and unticked "My calendar" within the Calendars tab on the S Planner main view, leaving my google calendar ticked and now all new events sync across all my devices (PC, Laptop, Ipad and Samsung Galaxy Siii Mini). Hope this helps

Thank you so much!!! I spent a full day trying to get my calendar on my S3 to sync to my new Note 4 and was getting so mad I wanted to smash something...and then I found your solution! Works like a charm...takes a few minutes to click on all of the individual events in your original calendar and choosing the calendar with my gmail, but totally worth it!! I now have everything on my new phone...you rock!! :)

When you write in your calander continue to the bottom of the page to more options, press this and make sure you show me as AVAILABLE and privacy is on PUBLIC . When you save to one calender it also goes to any other calenders you have set up on other devices when you sync both devices the next time.
