How do I get my Samsung Note 2 to starting?

samsung note 2 is not starting on,only samsung logo is flashing.

my samsung note 2 phone is not switching on. every time i switch on the phone it is showing samsung logo. and keeps on flashing the logo for hours.

what should i do?
i don't want to get it formatted because it has my important data in its internal storage.
