How do I get rid of full screen mode on Samsung Galaxy s9?

Help. I can not use my phone. Every app I tap brings up message overlay telling me I am using full screen mode...etc. I can only get rid of it by pushing home button, which is hidden. Then it takes me out of app. My phone has been rendered useless. I've turned off and rebooted. Nothing helps. I can not even access settings.

When you see the navigation bar on the bottom, tap on the dot on the left side twice.

I am having the same problem and dont see a dot to tap on, what should i do

Thanks soooo much, Methodman89 The full screen mode spontaneously appeared on my S9 today and made me miserable. You are awesome

I am having the same problem and dont see a dot to tap on, what should i do

Go in settings , display , then gestures toggle it on to use the dot
