How do I get rid of my Voice mail services?

I just got a voice mail and I'm already in a bad mood. I hate everything about that service, how pointless and dumb is to send one instead of texting or calling, the awkwardness of setting an account, the impatient people that send you a text and a voicemail if you won't answer the phone. And most importantly, the icon staying all the time in my top left corner.

Please someone tell me how to end my misery.

Well you could just get a Visual Voicemail App, if that make things easier for you

I use HulloMail, its pretty good

You can call your carrier and ask them to remove the basic voice mail feature from your account
