How do I get the doubletwist airsync to work on my HTC One M8?

I just bought the doubletwist Pro music player and i am trying to set up the airsync. I do everything the directions tell me to do until it says to get on my computer (I am using a mac if this helps you guys solve the problem at all) and to click on my device and enter in the code. well, the problem is that the device never shows up. I've tried changing my device name (as suggested), i've turned the airsync off and on again (as suggested) and i have tried adding an airsync device. when i try to do the last part, i'll enter in my ip address like is says to do, but it just says IP address unreachable. I am loosing my mind here. I have never posted anything on forums before so i dont know if i am doing this right. I dont even know if i put this thread in the right category for what i am asking. I need some help if anyone can help me. I am begging at this point.

I'm having the exact same problem with the Note 4. Anybody got any suggestions?
