AC Question
This seems to be a Nexus 5x problem as my Nexus 9 is not affected by this issue and the problem still exists after updating to android 6.0.1. After rebooting the Nexus 5x after initial set up the Google search bar disappears from the recent app screen. The only solution to get it back I have found that Google recommended is to perform the factory reset, but again once I have turned the phone off and back on again the the search bar in the recent app menu disappears. Google are now saying I will have to replace the device for the problem to go away, but this seems a bit unnecessary to me as it is not a hardware issue. Is anyone else affected by this issue and is there a simpler way to fix it than to perform a factory reset or replace the phone!
