LG G3 Android 4.4.2 ROOT Method

I originally rooted my phone when my software was android 4.4.1 but when i ran the update the root went away. I have factory reset my phone but the software defaults to android 4.4.2. I have tried TOWELROOT (says device not supported) and STUMP ROOT (says device rooted, but is not) with no luck. I am on T-Mobile and my phone is an LG G3 LG-D851. Just tried purpledrake and that does not work as well. Does anyone know a root that will work?

What software version does your phone say? Can you check in settings and post a screenshot here maybe?

There's a modified method using purpledrake on xda you can use if you have 10r, I just used that myself last night to load TWRP and flash cyanogen onto it.
