How do I get the setting icon back

My settings icon disappeared

What device, what model number, what version of Android? Do you see it in the notification bar? What launcher? Is it in your app drawer?

Welcome to Android Central! If you had an app shortcut on your homescreen for your Settings and that's gone, then just bring up the App Drawer, long-press Settings, then drag and drop it back to the homescreen.
