Android Central Question

I don't remember my pin because i use my finger print scanner more and it says that i can't use my finger print and i would just like to hard reset my note 9.

Okay. Welcome as a new member.

I'll move this to the Note 9 forum where they'll tell you the exact procedure. They may even be able to tell you how to reset your PIN via your Samsung account...I'm not sure of that, not being a Samsung user.

Welcome to Android Central! Force a shutdown by pressing and holding Power and Vol Down for about 20 seconds. Then boot into Recovery and do a factory reset from there: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-38120, look under the Master Reset with Hardware Keys section.

You'll be prompted at some point to enter the Google account and password associated with the phone, which is why belodion asked.

Are you sure you need a hard reset. The Note 9 is having issues where it says enter your pin and won't use your biometrics, but gets stuck in a loop back to the enter your pin screen. To clear this hold the power button until the 3 options appear on your screen. Then hold hold the power off button until enter safe mode appears. It will ask your pin and actually accept it then boot into safe mode. Once in safe mode you can restart to normal mode when the question appears and it will be working again.
