How do i install/activate a replacement S Pen for Note 3 (Verizon)???

I damaged my old S pen for Samsung Note 3 (Verizon Wireless), obtained a replacement S pen, and would like to know how to install/activate it---- currently, when I try to use it on my screen, it does not work. ...... ?

Also:
Please, does anyone know of a legit / USA-based seller who sells AUTHENTIC SAMSUNG parts (could be Amazon or eBay, doesn't have to be tho) where I could obtain ANOTHER replacement S pen, just in case the current one does not end up working?????

The s-pen is passive, in the regard that there is no power from the pen itself. If it's not working, it's either a problem with the pen itself being faulty, or the wacom digitizer not working properly.

As far as where to obtain another genuine pen, that may be difficult. Even the "genuine" ones listed on ebay/amazon turn out to be knock offs.

It's a little pricey, but you can order pens directly from Samsung.
