How Do I Install OTA Updates While Using TWRP & Root

I'm still kind of new to Android, so bear with me. I have a Sprint LG G2 running the stock ROM with TWRP recovery and I was rooted. I have been avoiding installing the OTA update for a few weeks now, since everyone online has told me not to install OTA updates while rooted.

I learned my lesson a few months ago when it put my phone into a boot-loop and since I didn't have a recovery I had to completely wipe the phone and flash the stock ROM, which was a lot of trouble since I barely knew what I was doing. After that situation I installed TWRP.

Now again, I am wanting to install the OTA update for the "improved network performance" and other added benefits that later updates will bring.

(May be unneeded information)
I removed root threw the SuperSU application, so that I could install this update with no problem, not knowing it was my recovery causing the problem. This time it would only boot into TWRP, long story short I found a terminal command online that solved my booting issue and was back on my way.

I am still getting the system update reminder and my question is: Is there any way I could easily either revert to stock recovery in order to install this update, then revert back to TWRP, or is there an easier way to get all the updates and flash them threw TWRP? Sorry if I didn't explain this well, it's 5 am and I've been up all night trying to find an answer to this online, but it seems like no one has this question. Thanks

Welcome to the forums. I think a better solution for you might be this: If you are rooted still, and still have the custom Recovery, I would look for a custom stock ROM for your device and flash that. You still update, but you just wait for a developer to modify the stock ROM for your purposes. You can check XDA for any ROMs.

He's right. The best thing to do is to find a stock rom that already has the update installed.

It's the custom recovery, TWRP, that won't let you install the update. You'd have to reinstall the stock recovery to apply the update.

In the mean time if you want to get rid of the notification, long press it and then select app info. Then click the check box for notifications and it won't show up anymore.
