I have the Nexus S 4g, and one of the big problems I see with the phone is that it only stores about the last 20-25 emails in my inbox. If I want to find an email from a week ago I can't do it...

Is there any way to change this...I don't see any settings to allow me to store more mail in my inbox...

I'm using the built in email app...

Sorry never used it so not sure how. You might want to check the app K9 out though - see it mentioned a lot as a better replacement for the built in Android mail app. More features and options...

Has anyone found out how to increase days cached using the existing email client on the phone? I have tried nearly every aftermarket client and only one has corrected the issue but constantly crashes. The stock client is clean but never saves more than 2 days for me and I'm not looking for a yahoo or hotmail app. Thanks guys.

ive only had my NS4G since Friday and I just checked both of my gmail accounts for you. I was able to go back a full year and im assuming more but i stopped cause i figured that was plenty more than two days. :D

i dont know of any settings for this through android except for text messages. you dont by chance have the IMAP folder limits selected in the desktop version of Gmail's options, do you?

Thanks for your help but my issue isn't with gmail. Its with the email app where you can pop3 or imap email accounts. My issue is one of my emails is a work email and its not exchange so there isn't an app. Everytime I open up an app, its only a 1 or 2 days. In addition, those few emails usually have to load in and I frequently get a connection error.
