I'd rather not have that vibration when I dial numbers but am stumped when trying to figure out how to turn that feature off.

Help?!!

Mine is very faint when it does...

almost not really noticeable. Is that the vibration you are getting?

Well I'll be damned. I never actually dialed a number. Though that turned it off for everything.

I'm gonna have to say either it can't be done or its a glitch. I have haptic feedback turned off in display as well and apparently mine still vibrates.

Interesting the amount of control we have over every other aspect of the phone except this one... :(

not a big deal for me as i rarely dial numbers that aren't in my People Contacts app. regardless - it's not a big hardship to overcome.

I like the haptic feedback. Kind of a confirmation that a key was actually registered, unlike my old iPhone3G.

YEAH, same here but like I said, it seems so faint to me that its not that big a deal...

It's not a glitch. It was like that for my Hero. It may be an indicator so that you aren't dialing numbers unknowingly. Just a guess.

I am rooted...please share how to turn that off. It drives me nuts. For some reason it feels a little creepy to me.

I said might be a clitch. Personally, if I turn off haptic feedback for the keyboard and UI, I would think that would turn off all haptic feedback. Hence why I said it might be a glitch. I can't see why I should be able to turn it off for every other button press but those.
