So now that all my texts go to google voice, how do I look up contacts in the texting app when I want to compose a new texts?

I feel like Im regretting this decision a little bit. I wish I just had the old way of Google voice.

Just start typing your contacts name in the To field, as long as it is a Google contact it will pop up as an option to choose.

Make sure that for the Google account you are syncing contacts. That way the ones you're looking for will be in the phone.

Also, you can still compose a text in the Google Voice app. Select the menu button and "Compose". That will also give you access to your Google contacts.

I went to google.com/voice and in the settings I disabled Sprint integration so I could use the GV app for my GV number and send texts via my Sprint number in the messaging app.

Yup, i tried it for one day, did not like google logging all my texts so I went back to having two numbers
