I have two of my children's Gmail added to my pixel 3a. How do I make sure my contacts dont get mixed up with my kids' please. For example i have my husband as husband plus name w a picture. My chikdren have it as dad with a different picture. On my contacts it keeps changing the label to how they have it- dad. Any help?

Welcome to Android Central! In your Contacts app, tap the 3-line menu button at the upper left. At the top, you should see "All Accounts" and then the individual accounts listed below. This is where you choose which account to display in the app. If you select your own account, then you can be sure what you see is what's in your own account, not your kids' accounts.

Do you mean that when you text your husband, it's showing up in your Messages app as the profile pic your kids use, and not the one you use for him?

I made you the owner of the original guest post to make it easier for you to find.

Yes. When I try to call, it picks up the label and picture from my kids' phone contacts.

If the number is common label/name and picture are picked up from kids'.

Yes. For example I edited the label of a contact (common to my kids) on my phone. While I was on my Google account.

It replaced the particular common Number's label in my daughter's contacts too on her phone.

I have three Google accounts on my phone. One is mine. Other two are gmail accounts of my daughters. They have their phones. If they edit their common contacts, it changes my label. If I edit one of the common contacts then it gets changed on theirs too. Been annoying

If you merged the contacts (as we previously were discussing), then editing the contact might affect their contact as well. Since merging didn't seem to help, you should probably just unmerge them again.
