How do I make time linger

It's not enough time when I open my s7.to type in my password, how do i extend the timeout?

That only affects how long before the screen times out and the phone locks once the phone is unlocked and you cease to have any activity on the phone. It doesn't affect how long you have to enter your pin code, or fingerprint, or pattern before the screen times out again. I have tried this solution before.

Try cleaning your light sensors at the top. If the phone detects that it has gone dark it may assume it is in a pocket and timeout.

Is there a reason you can't have a somwhat shorter password? You could also try setting a PIN or pattern as they're very quick to enter.
