How do I move data from SD card to internal storage?

I have a couple apps... Livo Recording Pro and ACast which can't access the files of the SDcard I removed from my old EVO 4G after it died... Figured I'd just bring the EVO lte up in my laptop and I'd see two disks and move the data over to internal storage so Livo could see all the song ideas I'd created in my good ole' EVO. Same for ACast... figured moving the folder over and I'd be set!

ARRRG! When I "mount as hard drive" I only see the sdcard on my laptop... don't see the internal storage, where the new livo is looking for the data... how do I access both storage locations to move things around?

As EVO lte is the first with two storage locations, apps don't give an option to point to one or the other for the location they're storing data... I imagine this is the problem and it would be easy to fix...

Hope my question isn't too dumb... but also, hope for an answer...

BTW, I'M ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS PHONE!!!! FRACKIN' AWESOME!!!

Is just the apps folder that needs moving? If so just transfer folder from old to PC then in new phone. And a dl app to your new phone start up app it should then create a folder on root of internall SD card. Then plug new phone in copy contents from old folder to phones new folder. or b just copy whole folder over to root of internal SD card then dl app and when u open it it should see that folder

You have to copy/paste using a file explorer app on the phone. Copy what you want to the SD card. Use a file explorer, like ES or Astro, and configure it to allow you to go up from /sdcard to /. Once you are at / you will see sdcard2 folder, this is your actual SD card. Fild the files you want, select them and copy. Go back up to / and open the sdcard folder. Paste to copied files where you want them in this directory or any subdirectory.

Wow! thanks for the quick responses! I'm in the middle of doing this: copied the folders over to the pc, shut down evolte, removed sd card, downloaded htc sync manager (to access the phones internal storage... apparently can't do so with "mount as hard drive"'; indeed it doesn't appear...). Then am going to try and move folders from pc to evolte.

will try ES or Astro next... I did see sd1 & 2 with "tiny player" a real cool app I just threw some $ at as developer deserves it.

Thanks all... will try HTC sync, then eat, then if needed, your suggestions... definately think with the 2 sd cards I'm gonna have to get smart with a file explorer...

OK, I guess I'm ready... HTC sync is worthless ... gonna break for food, get my brain in gear and play with some file managers .... thanks for the kick in the butt.... kinda made me smile after fracking up with the stupid htc sync...

appreciate all the help...while not much of a tech like you all, I have been android since hero and the podcast is always one of my favorites...

Will report my hopeful success with file mgrs in a few hours... unless my ancient brain fracks me over...:-\

Pull your sd from your phone, using an adapter, plug it into your pc/mac. Then plug your phone into the pc/mac. Worked on my original Droid, bout to find out if the same works on my Razr.

Not a tech head, going to try AirDroid, now that the page fully loaded. I lost my wallpaper when all pics got moved to sd, now pic of ex-wife haunts my home screen :-!
