How do i move images from phone to sd card?

Hi, I have a HTC One M8 32 gigs of internal storage. Noticed my storage availability was dwindling greatly with the pictures and screenshots I took. So I went and purchased a 128 gig micro SD card and intended to move all of my images to it in order to save on my phone's internal storage. Manually moving them I have no problem. But for future references I set my camera to store pictures in the SD card. Yet I just checked it since I set it to that, and the pictures taken are still going to my phone storage. Why is it doing this? Also, how do I set screenshots to save to the SD card?

Just to be sure, how did you confirm the new photos are still saving to Internal Storage? Did you look specifically in the /storage/sdcard0/DCIM/100Media directory with a file manager app?
