How to open Calendar when on a call?

When someone calls me and wants to make an appointment, how do I open the Calendar during the call? I have a S7.

Press the home button. Tap the app drawer icon. Tap the calendar.

this is part of my daily routine. I'm often on my phone and looking at the calendar. What was REALLY nice in the S5, that was removed in the S7, was the Airview feature where you didn't have to open/close each date to see it's content. You just hovered your finger over a date Someone should really complain about that around here. Maybe Samsung would see it and take note!
