How do I reduce screen resolution on LG G Pad X 8.0?

This is a nice tablet, but for some gaming (specifically Clash of Clans) it is a bit laggy. On my Samsung S2 tablet, there is an app by Samsung that allows me to change the screen resolution and frame rate.

Is there a way to easily (ideally without rooting) to decrease the screen resolution on this LG G Pad X 8.0? Stock is 1920x1200...reducing to 1200x800 I think would still look fine on this tablet. Thanks!

Generally there isn't a way to do this. Your best bet would be to see if there's a quality setting in your games that you can lower.

Some devices do have a battery saver option that reduces processor performance while gaming. Wouldn't hurt to check your tablet's settings for something like that and disable it. They have been known to cause lag as well.
