how do I reinstall the media player?

I've got a reconditioned LG optimus fuel 4.0,tried to clean the cache out and I think I may have damaged the streaming media player (the one that came stock with the phone) eveytime I try to play a video say from YouTube some other similar site either the screen freezes or I get the message"unfortunately, media player has stopped" I think if I reinstall it that should fix it, does anyone know how

Welcome to Android Central!

Go to your settings, apps, all apps, find the app and clear the data. That should reset the app to stock and may fix the issue.
