Hi
Ive just run a scan on kasperskey and it has found 16 files with permissions to read/write my external storage. I thought external storage was an SD card or similarwhich i dont have so im unsure why some apps have this permission. Ive gone into my settings and permissions but i cant find an option to remove external storage permissions. Does anybody know how i can ? Thanks

I think it's required. I don't see any way to deny it.

It's just a default for some apps so they can do what they do. Most of the appa you show there have to have access to files or they can't show you what you have, or attach files to send such as Whatsapp or the Private Share. The Gallery apps can't show you thumbnails of what you have without that access too.

Whether you actually have an SD card or not, some of those apps just have that just in case. It's not hurting anything to leave it as is.

And, honestly, those "virus" or "malware" scan apps are more trouble than they are worth. Using fear to push more product you don't need and flagging more false positives than are real.
