Hello. I just purchased an ANS UL40 phone. The Android version is 7.1.1.

Upon setting it up, I ran Malwarebytes. It found the Android/Trojan.Doppler.Agent.fo malware. It is in a Wireless Update app; it cannot be disabled. How do I remove this malware?

If I have to perform a root, please give me a link that gives instructions.

Thank you.

Disable it. If you ever root the phone, run Malwareebytes again and it will remove it. (Root can do anything - which is why it;s so dangerous.)

Hello, Rukbat.

When I tap on the Disable button on the Disable system app (shown in the screenshot), it takes me to the Wireless Update app. There, the Disable option is grayed out.

I assume that the only way is to root the phone. I will have to check with my phone carrier to see if I can do this without losing service or the warranty on the phone.

I just found out that my mobile virtual network operator does not support rooting. Also, rooting will void the 1 year manufacturer's warranty.

Is there anything else I can do to remove this malware?
