How do I Reply to Calendar Events from my Gmail account?

My S4 is set up with my Gmail account for email & calendar.

When I go into the detail view for a calendar entry and click the Reply (or Reply All or Forward) button at the bottom, it pops up a dialog saying:

Email
No email account is set up. Configure now?
Cancel | OK
----------------------------------------------------------

If I hit "OK", it takes me to the Set up email screen which clearly states For Gmail account, use Gmail app. And, of course, I already used the Gmail app because my gmail account is already set up on my phone.

Help, how do I just have it use my existing gmail account to Reply/Forward calendar entries?

The Gmail app is not the same as having Gmail account.

The S4 comes with two email apps. One called Email, and one called Gmail. It sounds like you configured your gmail account on the Samsung Email app. Check the app drawer, you should find the gmail icon, and set up your account there and remove it from the Email app.

If I'm wrong, and you do have it set up in the Gmail app already, then I don't have a clue.
