How do I reset call count on Samsung Galaxy when clearing BadgeProvider doesn't work?

Often, the Missed Call count on my Samsung Galaxy Light (SGH-T399) phone refuses to reset, even after I delete the call log and then clear the data and cache of the BadgeProvider app and reboot.

Although this procedure usually reduces the count if it's high, it very rarely resets to zero, even after doing this several times in a row. What else can I try?

It's BadgeProvider Version 1.0. If I could find an updated version, do you think that would make a difference?

This is a bit more drastic, but you could try clearing the cache and data from TouchWiz Home in the App Manager. But this will wipe your homescreens, so you'll have to set them up again.

Thanks for your reply, B. Diddy! But with respect, I'm going to leave this thread open, hoping for a less destructive alternative.

Wipe the TouchWiz cache, then restart the phone. That won't wipe anything but old data that TouchWiz should have wiped by itself.
