how do i return to the fingerprint recognition screen?

I tried unlocking via fingerprint recognition. It didnt work, and went to alternative password screen. I don't know password. what do I do?

I'm assuming you have a Galaxy S5 or Tab S. If you locked the device because too many attempts to swipe the fingerprint were failed, it should go back after a few minutes. If you selected the alternative password screen, just hit the back button or re-lock your device and it should take you back to the fingerprint recognition mode.
