I wanted to try 2.4 and 5 MHZ wifi frequencies and see which gives me the better response in my home. I'm using an Apple Time Capsule so I know I should have that option on my Z Force. For the life of me, I can't find it. It is not on either of my Z Forces. Is it lurking somewhere and I just can't find it?

I think the phone selects the strongest signal that it can connect to . I have a duel band wifi and it selected the 5 mhz band . Though both do show up in the wifi list .

Can you know this from your phone?

I could have sworn on older versions of Android you could do this. It wasn't in the advanced settings anymore though.

Change the name of your 5 GHZ SSID so you know which one is which. The Airport app, when you edit the network, in fact defaults to appending "5 GHz" to the name of your 2.4 GHz network, IIRC.

mine connects to both. i have them both setup in the house. it will connect to either

I know with my FiOS quantum router it gives me two hotspots to choose from one is 2.4 GHz and the other is 5 ghz
