Send video to TV from HTC M8 one

Hi. I would like to send video from my phone to the TV. Do I need an Apple TV to do this? My TV is connected to a Yamaha AV receiver and has Airplay. Is this sufficient? to play video to the TV too? I can control the TV from my phone so I think I could do the video thing but just need the right advice?

The best way is to buy a Nexus Player or an other GTV box.
