How do I set/adjust device administrators?

I've read reviews on Verizon's support and protect app something or other and it seems a battery drainer. To be concise, to remove it I need to alter its status as device admin. Where can I get to the device admin menu? I've looked in settings everywhere . thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Security, then scroll down towards the bottom and select Device Administrators. You should then uncheck the app in question, after which you should be able to either remove it (if it wasn't preinstalled bloatware) or hopefully disable it (which isn't always possible with carrier bloatware.

Hey thanks, was able to disable it bit not remove it. Hopefully it saves some battery life .
