It won't allow you to do that , probably can move some apps data but not recommended just use as portable storage

It's recommended to only use your SD card for photo and music files or any other personal files.

These cards are too slow and unreliable to use for any system integration.

I've never seen a Galaxy S phone that allows that, Samsung has hated SD Cards as far back as the S5 and limited their use because they are slow and unreliable and users would blame the phone when a cheap SD Card failed or malfunctioned.

Regardless of whether it would be recommended or not, it's not possible as far as I know to do that with apps unless you root your phone. It is possible only for media files. I think the option to save as default for photos at least is in your camera settings.
