How do I set the day of the week for an alarm?

I just updated to a Pixel 2 from a Note 3 and the clock seems to be missing a fundamental feature. That, or I'm blind.

When I set an alarm, I want to specify the day of the week. So if it's Tuesday, I can set an alarm for Thursday at 12:00 PM. It will then go off on that day and time only once.

In the Pixel 2, the only way to specify the day of week is to put it on repeat. But I don't want it to repeat.

And I better add a confused emoji because a) that's how I feel and b) they are listed on the side of this input box and it's kind of fun

Just set the alarm and don't check the "repeat" option.

When you click the "+" button, you then select the time and press OK. After that, check the box for Repeat. By default, every day of the week will be selected. Tap a day to deselect it.

That being said, try downloading Timely. It has a cleaner interface and I think it is easier to select days of the week that you want (not all are selected from the start.) It also syncs with your Google account automatically so you can have alarms on multiple devices, or keep the same alarm/app settings when you get a new device or perform a master reset.

Never thought a clock app would be that much better than stock, but for the last few years Timely has been one of the first apps I install on a new phone.

Ah hah! The plot thickens. I asked "Ok, Google. Set an alarm for Thursday at 12:00" and she said "Sorry, I can't set alarms on your phone more than 24 hours before they're supposed to go off."

Do you know why my phone would have that restriction?

Thank you, I will check it out. I guess the clock I had on my Note 3 was from Samsung or something.

You can set a reminder for any day or time ,might give that a try with Ok Google
