How do i set up my phone to my tv? I have a note 5

I just moved in. I dont have a smart tv, but i am pretty sure it has an hdmi spot. I have no idea how to go about this. And i dont have internet in my apt. I do have unlimited data on my plan. Any help?? Please

MHL is the capability by which SOME phones can connect to the HDMI port on a TV. Sadly, your Note 5 does not have that ability. There are some suggestions on that thread on other ways to accomplish the goal though.

Get a Samsung All Cast dongle from Amazon. Turn on screen mirroring and there you go! I've been watching all 5 seasons of Downton Abbey on Amazon Prime and it works perfectly. Just turn your screen brightness down low because the screen stays on while you're watching on TV.

No wifi needed, I stream through my phone and unlimited data plan. This month I've used 30 gigs because I'm trying to catch up on the series before the last season. Lol

The dongle creates is own wifi network between it and your phone. Pretty ingenious, I think.

Just buy a chromecast edit : Oops, no Internet,, my bad.

I believe if you just have a router (even with no Internet), you can still use a Chromecast as long as both are connected to it.

One forum member said they used the Amazon Fire stick as it does not require internet. I believe they used it on a TV in their truck... guessing a semi truck driver.

I don't know about the Firestick not needing a wifi connection, I researched all the dongles and such and AllCast was the only one where you didn't need a separate wifi router to work. But good luck to anyone who tries it.

If u have a xbox u can use it also or a roku and apple tv juss down load imediashare and ubcan watch anythingbsaved on ur phone
