How do I set up screen mirroring from my Samsung Galaxy S6 to a Samsung smart tv?

Hi, I am trying to screen mirror from my galaxy s6 to my smart tv. I have read through forums that all suggest I should have a screen mirroring option in the drop down menu on my phone and there also should be a screen mirroring option when I press the source button on my TV, but I do not have either of these options? I can use the smart view app but this only let's me play files from my phones memory and but does not mirror the screen. Can anyone help me please? Thanks!
