how do I setup my outlook 2013 using comcast as my provider and my new gmail lg g4 phone

My internet provider is Comcast.
I am using Outlook 2013
I just purchased a LG G4 android phone (first one)
I set up my Gmail account.
I want to ensure whatever changes to calendar, emails etc... I do either on my phone or desktop will sync. Thus if I add a appointment in my phone I want it to show up on my Outlook 2013, etc...

Welcome to Android Central!

Did you already connect your Gmail account to your Outlook? You might have to keep you Outlook open all the time for it to constantly sync correctly without being connected to an exchange server.

Why not just use the Gmail web access to do your mail on your computer?
