How do i stop an upload of video from my android phone?

How do i stop an upload of video from my android phone? I am NOT talking about automatic backup I know how to disable that. I deliberately tried to upload a video to google, but it's too large (maybe just too slow internet). It has been going for days now. It doesn't offer any sort of obvious cancel button. I have force stopped photos app and rebooted my phone since, and it's still going. It just picks up, whenever the app starts again. How do I stop it? How do I tell my phone that I no longer want that video uploaded, without just waiting for it to upload?

Which phone?
Usually in pull down notifications panel can cancel, maybe force stop download manager.

Welcome to Android Central! Try also clearing the cache and data from the Google Photos app, then open it again and wait for it to re-sync with your account.
