Android Central Question

I use the default samsung music player to listen to music, and I have no intention of using another player as I am content with this one. However everytime I connect my earphones it automatically plays music. I can't find any settings to stop it from doing that. Anything I'm missing?

Which Samsung do you have?

What type of headphones are you connecting, wired, Bluetooth?

Which settings are you checking, the app settings or the headphone settings? Usually in the headphone settings, or at least there used to be, a setting for default action when connected.

Welcome to Android Central! Are your headphones specifically "Made for iPhone"? Those can cause this kind of issue, since iPhone headphone jacks have a slightly different configuration, so headphone plugs designed for iPhones can inadvertently activate certain features on Android devices.
