Android Central Question

As soon as I stick my phone on the wireless charger, if it has recently been unlocked then it both turns on the screen and unlocks the phone so that it shows my apps and whatnot. This is annoying because I have a screen time out of 2 minutes, which I would like to keep.

Is there a way to turn this stupid feature off? Or mask it

Welcome to Android Central! That's pretty standard behavior for Android devices. Which phone do you have? It's possible a specific phone might have an option buried in its settings to prevent this, but I doubt it.

There used to be an app that could prevent this behavior called SnooZy Charger, but it's not longer available on the Play Store: https://www.ctrl.blog/entry/review-snoozy-android-charging. I'll see if I can find any current app that can do it.

EDIT: Here's an old old app that's still on Google Play: Solar Screen Off. Probably won't work on a more recent phone, but give it a try.
