AC Question

I got a ZTE phone for my daughter have had it for a few weeks and it's saying unfortunately stock android has stopped how do I fix this problem

My phone kept looking as if it had been taken over and battery draining and shortly phone dead I though it this upgrade thing and it shut it all down drained battery I changed chargers and nothing. Phone wouldn't charge past two percent. I charged best I could to like 27percent with phone turned off then reset it to factory I didn't hook Google up I settled for basically a phone with no internet. Better to have a phone than nothing at least can make calls. Now I didn't hook up Google I only use internet no apps.it's not draining at all. I honestly believe something in Google doing this battery draining and it's more than stock Android. The article says Google behind it basically the new phone has certain things that need to run and it's draining battery s so this new phone probably run fine but older phone this what's going to happen and you have to Choose to do away from your out dated phones or for a while not have apps that use Google. That's a lot of programs.

I have disabled Google apps turned off stock Android only put short cuts to site I use and charged battery with phone turned off total factory reset and problem solved.
No more battery drainage no more stock Android messages saying it's stopped.

I had this problem and tried EVERYTHING mentioned with no long term success UNTIL I found a post that actually helped me fix my phone! The problem is tied into your launcher. You need to download a new launcher app (I used Evie and love it) and it will solve all of these issues you are having. My phone no longer "has a mind of its own" and for three weeks now I have not had the Stock Android notification pop up once. My phone is running like a new phone again!

Welcome to Android Central! It actually says, "Unfortunately, stock Android has stopped"? That's an unusual error message, since Android doesn't refer to itself as "stock Android." Are you sure it doesn't sa byy "Unfortunately, Android System has stopped," or some other similar message?

I just went through 5 minutes for Android to restart. It has said 3 times (just this time) unfortunately stock Android has stopped.). I just cluck ok and go on.
