How do I stop the Facebook pop notification sound?

Ok, so I have had my S7 for a few months now. I had FB set up the way I wanted it.(no sounds at all)
Yesterday the app updated, and I had sound all over again.
I went into the app like before and turned the sound to off. The sound stopped when I like a post.
But I still get that 'POP' sound when I receive a notification on a post that I am following, or when I have been mention on one.
I cannot for the life me make it stop.
I uninstalled and reinstalled, went through everything to turn app sounds off. It is still doing the 'POP'.
Ever hear "The Cell Block Tango"?
I'm about to fire 3 warning shots.......At my phone.

Please help!

Hi

Sounds like you need to turn off notifications. Just goto settings> device> applications> application manager> scroll over to all> Scroll down to Facebook

Now select it. and take the check mark out of "show notifications."

Facebook is NOT on the list of Apps! So how do i turn of that annoying beep and vibration?

You should be able to go to the app setting in the Facebook app then go to notifications, and turn the notifications sound off.

On the Samsung devices, at least in my Note 2, we have something called block mode that stops all kinds of unnecessary pop up noises for as long as you keep turned it on.

That is so annoying - I've actually never thought about how annoying it can be if you can't control how an individual app/service makes noises on your phone. I've had a similar issue when I'm listening to music and random constant notifications will dull my music volume.
