How do I stop the predictive words while texting

Since my update of my phone when I am texting my phone tries to predict what the next word I am going to say is going to be. I don't get the symbols up there after words anymore. How do I turn this off?

If you want to turn predictive text off altogether, from any Home screen press the Menu button, choose Settings, scroll down and choose "Language and input", then select the gear icon next to Samsung keyboard and set Predictive text to off.Sent from my rooted, debloated, deodexed Sinclair ZX-80 running CM -0.001 using Tapatalk 2

I don't want to shut it off completely. I just want the symbols to show up after I put in a space not my phone to try and figure out what my next word is going to be.

I had this problem for a while but I recently figured it out. Go to settings, and then language and input. Next scroll down to the samsung keyboard and click the gear button. When you see the bar that says predictive text, dont click the on/off slider, instead click on the words themselves. This will bring up the option to stop predicting words.
